‘FLOATING’. 2024

Inspired in equal part by Banksy, and my friend’s wedding (after which my ceiling was covered with red helium balloons), ‘Floating’ is the next in a series of cut-outs featuring icons of popular culture.

Painted with a combination of stencil and freehand. No two pieces will be exactly the same.

The balloon fixes to the wall, and the satin ribbon hangs loose giving a sense that the balloon is floating midair.
