Available in two sizes, from my website as well as @stelladore_gallery and @paxtonglew 🎈 Inspired in equal part by #Banksy, and my friend’s wedding (after which my ceiling was covered with red helium balloons), ‘Floating balloon’ is part of a series of wooden cut-outs featuring icons of popular culture The balloon fixes to the wall, and the satin ribbon hangs loose giving a sense that the balloon is floating midair. What has essentially been an elevated addition to my workbench for the last however long, is now available as a one-off piece of artwork. He asked if I'd paint him a 'Clown walking away' and what you see here was intended to be my initial sketch. Only it felt perfect. It wasn't consciously a self-portrait, but I did a lot of clowning at the time, and I feel as though it is one. That’s 8 hours of art, music and pop-up bars, all with incredible sea views, along the iconic 480m stretch. It’s well worth a trip to the seaside for, and come and say hi if you do 👋
